On January 20, 2007 Steve Lowe, founder of the Beat Hotel in DHS, died of heart failure. He is missed by many people around the world. We were friends and neighbors for six months, but I wish I could have known him longer. He was full of enthusiasm for life, ambitiously ran multiple projects, was great for conversation, and told hilarious stories! Steve was also very passionate about writing, architecture, and all forms of art and encouraged other people in their creative pursuits.
